The book “Mushroom: Production and Utilization” is an effort to describe the theoretical and practical aspects of mushroom production to cater to the needs of various categories of users engaged in promotion of mushroom.
The book covers 18 chapters which include various aspects of cultivation of different types of mushroom. To make the subject simple and easy to communicate, 45 Figures/photographs/ line diagrams and 15 flow charts and 22 tables have been included in the book, which, we hope, will certainly help the readers to understand the subject clearly.
In the end of the book, some useful and important ancillary information have been given viz. important literature on mushroom (journals, books and bulletins etc.), training facilities available, consultancy services in India and abroad, availability of mushroom cultures/mushroom spawn, producer and exporter of fresh and dried mushroom, supplier of machinery and equipment etc. We hope this information will be useful for establishment of mushroom production and marketing unit.
