Broiler production is a useful enterprise for supplementing the farmer’s income in agriculture. Even the youths who do not have much land for agricultural purposes can engaged themselves in business of broiler production. A number of government schemes provide both technical and financial support to such youths for establishment of broiler farms. Broiler production is just a one month crop but it requires a careful preparation for running successful broiler business. Any business however sustains only on the basis of its economics i.e., the Benefit-cost ratio. This book attempts at covering the economics of different activities of broiler farming for finding out the real benefit from broiler production. The book also includes the economics of broiler marketing. The empirical data from broiler farmers was collected and used for finding out the economics of broiler production in and around Jammu city of Jammu and Kashmir state.
