This Book, titled 'Sufism and Indian Spiritual Traditions: An Educational Perspective' aims at the reorientation of Indian Education System with reference to Indian Spiritual Traditions. Education has never been considered in isolation away from the religious and traditional treasure of knowledge in India. It kept on upgrading and uplifting itself by the amalgamation of eccentric and conventional traditions from different cultures through the ages. Whether it is ecstatic dance forms or eclectic musical compositions, whether it is the philosophical strength of Upanishads or humanistic pinnacles of Tirukural, whether it is Sufi ideologies of spiritual splendour or Bhakti devotion of divine disclosures; all contributed Indian Education System with a single aim of making the man by elevating humanitarian aspects through the education of Heart. Indian Education finds its way in the Tattiropnishad's Five Koshas in human body viz. Annamaya, Pranmaya, Manomaya, Vigyanmaya, Anandamaya. All the spiritual Traditions in India aim at the development of these faculties through Education. The present Book is only an effort to understand some dimensions of diversified Spiritual Traditions with reference to Educational perspectives.
