"This Spiritual Gita, as the name suggests, is to benefit all sects of people, irrespective of caste, creed or religion, as the Spirit – Soul or Atma is common to all. The way of realizing this spirit by Kriya-Yoga or act of spiritual yoga has been told herein by the greatest of Yogis--Shree Shyamacharan Lahiri Mahashaya. His precise notes depending on his realization are written in short (given in italics in the book). They can be grasped by a Yogi only, thus his worthy disciple Shree Bhupendranath Sanyal, who himself also was a self-realized Yogi, has written it in an elaborate way, explaining it step by step, so that the common man may be benefitted.

Yogiraj Shri Lahiri Mahashaya is known the world over, as he was the first man, who, having mercy on the materially bound, gave this Kriya-Yoga to even the worldly people. In the western countries he is famous as being the param (great) Guru of Shree Paramhans Yoganand.

Now, after sixty years of the original work, an effort has been made herein to translate it in English so that it may be easily accessed by most in today’s world."
