"The present book, in its second edition has been prepared as per the new syllabus of UGC on descriptive questions for paper III of the NET examination for the candidate appearing in the discipline of library and information science. The book has been divided into parts A and B, according to the system prescribed by UGC for this paper III. In part A, nearly 150 question have been organised according to the units of the prescribed syllabus and the matter for answering each question has been put in near about 300 words.
