From the preface: "Ganamrutha Keerthana Malika Part I to X in the series of books for music students follows the earlier publications.
These books consist of 25 compositions of Sri Thiagaraja Swamigal, Sri Muthuswami Dheekshithar, Sri Syama Sastrigal and other Vageyakaras.
In order to learn these compositions easily each count of the thala is appropriately fitted with four swaras which required space, the hyphens between each group of swaras, to easily understand the method of singing their combinations."
