"Energy security and the Indian Ocean Region is the second volume produced by the Indian Ocean Research Group (IORG). It is clear that the Indian ocean region will become increasingly important to any discussion of energy security, not only because of the critical importance of regional states as energy suppliers, but also because of the essential role of the ocean as an energy route. The main purpose of the volume is to provide an elaboration and critical evaluation of some of these issues and their implications not just for the Indian ocean region."
