The mining, Geological and Metallurgical Institute of India (MGMI) which is the oldest Institute of its kind in Asia is hosting the second Asian Mining Congress on the theme Mineral Resources in Asian Countries : Innovative Solutions for Development and Expansion to focus on the prospects of Mineral Development in Asia.

The Proceedings of the Congress are compiled in two volumes covering 70 Technical Papers presented by eminent experts on different facets of development of technology for mining, mineral processing, environmental and social issues, health and safety issues, business and investment opportunities and other topical subjects presented in the Congress.

Apart from contributions by eminent experts from Indian Mineral Industry, there are useful contributions from other Asian countries such as China, Iran, Pakistan, Russia, Thailand etc. The proceeding volume is enriched by valuable contributions by experts from Australia, Germany, U.K., USA etc."
