"ONGC Bulletin has been in circulation for many years now. Initially it was a well received journal particularly in seventies and eighties. The desire of the geoscientists to publish in ONGC Bulletin probably took a back seat in nineties and during current times owing to the existence of various geoscientific associations related to hydrocarbon sector where publication is received with extra reward of participation in the conferences and symposia.

However, that should not deter the geoscientists to subscribe to the legacy of ONGC Bulletin which continues to have its own grandeur, so much so that, during the periods of its existence, it was considered to be a reward to be part of this oldest official organ of the organization."
