"Christianity in Asia has its roots in the very inception of Christianity, which originated in the Western part of the Asian continent in the area of the Levant, at the beginning of the first millennium AD.

The spread of Christianity in Central Asia seems to have been facilitated by the great diffusion of Greek in the region, as well as Aramaic, the language of Jesus Christ. The spread of the Jews in Asia since the deportation from Babylon and the capture of Jerusalem by Titus also seems to have been a contributing factor.

Christianity religion founded in Palestine by the followers of Jesus. It is one of the world's major religions, it predominates in Europe and the Americas, where it has been a powerful historical force and cultural influence, but it also claims adherents in virtually every country of the world. Christianity is on the rise again, and to understand what that rise may mean requires a new awareness of what is happening in Asia, and other parts of the world."
