"Global trade has crossed all barriers. Intellectual property law is now an indispensable part of economic laws throughout the whole world. The different branches of intellectual property law--patents, trademarks, designs, copyrights, creativity, etc. confer legal exclusivity in the market place. A balance between protection of intellectual property rights over such knowledge and their quick dissemination and assimilation in the productive enterprise is essential for continued growth of the country's economy. International negotiations about intellectual property poliferate but legal protection is still at base a matter for the domestic laws of nation states. Almost all the countries of the world have enacted laws as for safeguard of the intellectual property on the domestic front.
