Annotated Bibliography of Phytochemicals

From the preface: "Keeping in mind the growing importance of phytochemical (phyto refers to plant and chemical to constituent), it has become essential to collect the scattered information. The work titled "Annotated Bibliography of Phytochemicals" is an attempt directed to this aim. The phytochemicals have been arranged according to natural order (family) and there biological source and pharmacological effect mentioned followed by references. Majority of the phytochemicals mentioned in the text are novel, although, some old one has been retained because of their historical and everlasting significance. Also, index of phytochemicals studied in this book has been given after text matter--it will assist to readers in tracing out the desired plant constituents.

This work will useful for academicians and persons involved in medicinal plant research. Further, the work will be useful for students of alternative system of healings like Ayurveda, Siddha, Unanai, Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) and western medicinal herbalism."
