"Rock Art and Archaeology of India" is a commemoration volume of articles, compiled in honour of Prof. Shankar Prasad Tiwari, a well known and pioneer in rock art research, cultural geography, archaeology and natural history. He discovered the Kutumsar Cave and vanishing subterranean biological species in Bastar and rock art sites in the Betwa source region. The articles published in this book are diverse, incorporating various fields of his engagement including rock art, numismatics, temple architecture, chalcolithic, neolithic culture etc, in Central India. Also included in this book is a selection of published and unpublished articles of Prof. Shankar Tiwari. The inter-disciplinary archaeological explorations on rock art in this book will be useful to students and researchers of archaeology, who would like to relate the discipline to other natural and social sciences.
