No work like the Indian epics -- The Ramayana and The Mahabharata hold, in Europe, not Homer in Greece or Virgil in Italy, nor Shakespeare of Milton in English-speaking countries, the same position and dignity as these, their cherished heritage for thousands of years, and are till date interwoven with every aspect of national culture.
