From the Foreword: "The Zoological Survey of India publishes the Bibliography of Indian Zoology annually in order to cater to the needs of a large number of researchers in the field of general zoology with special reference to systematics, morphology, anatomy, biology, ecology, wildlife studies and economic zoology etc., pertaining to the fauna of Indian region, which comprises India, Bangladesh, Bhutan, Nepal, Pakistan and Sri Lanka.
The bibliography is based on major animal groups as per classification. Documents indexed are monographs, proceedings, journals, book\'s, conference papers etc. published during the year under consideration. Mode of indexing is subject-wise, region-wise and author-wise. A detailed list of new taxa described during the period under report is also provided.
The present 32 volume refers to the year 1995. It is needless to mention that the indexing of complete published literature on the subject is quite time consuming as well as difficult. However, all attempts have been made to index as many references as possible. This time consuming process of literature search has resulted in some delay in the publication of the volume. We appeal to all workers/institutes to send us information regarding their publications as quickly as possible to help us in timely compilation of the Bibliography."
