This book Challenges of Inclusive Development : A Perspective from the Grassroots is primarily a documentation of presentation and discussions in the workshop on Inclusive Growth in local context organized by Department of Economics, Rangia College in collaboration with North Eastern Economic Association, and held on 20th and 21st Jan, 2012 at Rangia College. The workshop was a good academic exercise and it was very much relevant to socio-economic development of Rangia sub division specially and Assam as a whole. This edited volume contains six research papers based on original research works in the field of inclusive growth in local context. All the papers try to focus the problem of inclusive growth in Assam and discussed how to increase the pace of growth. This proceeding of workshop on inclusive growth in local context represents the threadbare discussions and opinions of resource person and participants from various relevant fields on the topic.
