Communication is essential for all but for the scientist it is vital. Scientists manufacture new information either by designing new data or by formulating new concepts or conceptual integration of data. For these formulations to be successful contributions to science they must be communicated in such a form as to be comprehended and verified by other scientists and then used in providing new ground for further explorations. So communication becomes a silent feature of the scientists. Communication among scientists is not recent: it is traced back to 1671. In the history of science communication of scientific information began with the private letters. From earlier days to present days communication channels have undergone truly remarkable changes. Scientists utilize number of channels to disseminate and acquire information. The usual channels of communication are periodicals proceedings of the conferences symposiums seminars discussion with others telephone internet etc. Maximum progress in scientific research depends on the maximum effectiveness of these channels of communication. Improving the channels of communication and dissemination is the most important job of the librarians. The book communication trends is basically a research study on the scientists in the area of botany. The book tries to explore how scientists communicate in their community in this era. The book is divided into six chapters. The first two chapters present the theoretical aspect of communication as well as science communication.
