Concise Glossary of Geology

"Geology is now taught in most universities in India, but there is no suitable glossary of dictionary of the subject available to meet the needs of the Indian student and professional. This small volume serves to fill this gap, and covers all the terms that may ordinarily be required. The definitions given are up-to-date and where applicable follow those of the International Union of Geological Sciences. The stratigraphic data, classification and nomenclature are the latest and comply with those given by the International Commission on Stratigraphy 2004 - not found so far in any current dictionary or glossary. Where necessary, a brief background history of the term is given."
