"Presently the second generation of reform process is likely to be over very shortly and we will be entering in the third generation of reform process. The new economic policy adhered by the Government of India from the first part of 1990 onwards has put our Indian industries into tremendous competition. This new economic policy has helped to a considerable extent to uplift the efficiency of the indigenous Indian industries to a considerable extent. Since the introduction of this policy, India has become an ideal destiny for investment due to several valid reasons. Factors like government support by reducing tariffs control and trade restrictions, development of infrastructural facilities. Huge internal as well as external market components etc. are some of the major reasons for such attraction. A considerable change has taken place in the Indian economy which in turn has affected all the sectors to a large extent. This new economic policy has put the Indian industries in front of tremendous challenges also. Some industries who can cope up with this new situation will sustain and flourish and the firms which can not cope up with this new situation would certainly perish. So in order to come up with flying colors every industry should be very much efficient regarding management of its cost as well as increasing the quality of its products to maximize sales. New innovative products should be introduced, marketing wing should be very much efficient. Due consideration should be given on practicing business ethics and corporate social responsibility for building up the customers loyalty to the maximum possible extent. Here the papers contained different aspects of contemporary issues faced by the Indian business in this globalized regime."
