Dharmasastra and Human Rights

The present volume contains total 34 papers presented in the national seminar on Dharmasastra and Human Rights, dealing with different types and aspects of Human Rights (HR), as reflected in the Dharmasastra literature. It is found after detailed study that Dharmasastra concentrated on the other side of the coin, namely Human Duties. The Philosophy behind the same seems to be : If a human being performs his own duty properly, the rights of the fellow beings coming in contact with him are well protected.
