Contents: 1. Dualities, Symmetries and Balances. 2. Analyses of Selected Sets of “Double Image/Representation”. 3. Dualities, Balance and Symmetries: Appraisal. Bibliography.
Are balance and symmetry integral components in artworks of veneration? Can symbolic expressions be innovatively used to communicate the notions of “Duality” involving geography, zoological and botanical life forms, and the Divine and the human realms? The ancient Egyptians sought and pursued these artistic and visual innovations, thereby merging art and calculation together, arriving at unique modes of veneration. This book is a humble attempt to discuss some significant aspects of such symmetric and dual expressions, which distinguished ancient Egyptian art and thinking as unique.
