Values education has been found to be a more effective way of teaching spiritual, moral, social and cultural development, than promoting any particular religious tradition. Values education is a term used to name several things, and there is much academic controversy surrounding it. The objectives of values education depend on the people who claim to be doing the values education. Religious people want to impart their specific set of values.
