"The philosophy of exploitation which promulgates that any destruction of nature is justified for the sake of development--that we 'develop' at any cost-need not only be condemned but completely discarded in the interest of giving mother earth a chance of survival. The world of excessive exploitation of nature definitely leads to ecological catastrophe of magnitude which result into the extinction of human civilization. Development must be environmentally harmonious, economically efficient and targeted towards equity with social justice.

At present, the education system has degraded a lot. The education has lost its real meaning and has become more of an isolated knowledge in the field of technology, seismology, economy, sociology, pure-sciences and so on; instead of having a meaningful inter-disciplinary approach. The book in hand deals with the above mentioned theme and is divided into different sections dealing with ecological environment, economics and commerce education besides an overview of the different aspects of the economy."
