Environmental Development: Issues and Challenges

Development is a buzz word today. It is sin qua non to citizens’ well being. India as a nation is on an ascending trajectory of developmental index. The hallmark of a real development is -when it is inclusive and all enveloping, when every citizen in a country becomes its beneficiary, when it becomes accessible to the weakest of the weak. The parameter of real justice is realized when the most disadvantaged people get the greatest benefit in a Rawlsian sense of proportional justice. (jacket)
