Systematic is fundamental to biology because it is foundation for all studies on all organisms and in understanding with conservation issues. The Flora of Ranikhet, West Himalaya is an attempt to explain the components of angiosperms and gymnosperms. The present Flora describes 934 plant species with 925 angiosperms (125 families) and 9 gymnosperms (4 families). The Angiosperms includes 772 dicots (105 families) and 153 monocots (20 families). The complete list of grasses, exotic gymnosperms and pteridophytes were also provided. The present flora is useful for nature lovers, taxonomist, researchers, students, ecologist, conservationist, local communities, trekkers and tourist etc..(jacket)
