This volume is articles is actually the papers presented by various eminent Political Science and other Social Sciences scholars from across the length and breadth of India. The theme of the seminar which was about the connection between good politics and governance was basically selected in order to explore more dimensions of good governance which get left our when people talk about good governance. It is well known that good governance talks about best practices with reference to electronic governance. By doing this there are many ethical-moral issues that come into governance or the lack of it due to the nature of pragmatic politics which at best are a moral. This seminar while not ignoring electronic governance asked for papers that go beyond electronic governance. The deliberations between various scholars also led to the papers acquiring greater relevance to the present context of governance and politics in India. These papers that are now published are a unique collection that covers contemporary issues of governance and politics and will be of great use to the student community as well as the teaching community of social sciences.
