The volume is an excellent beginning and promises to place Allahabad in the front rank among the centres of historical study in India. No sources of information however minute that could throw the least light on Jahangir’s period, have been neglected. His narrative flows in abroad lucid stream, while admirable footnotes supply copious references and discuss minute points of scholarship.
