Indian constitution, which is both written and rigid, has embodied in it unequivocal terms, the basic human rights of its population and how they should be protected by parliamentary means. According to the architects of our constitution, the socio-economic growth of our country and the amity and the unity among people cannot be thought of without giving due regard to human rights.

Human rights are the fundamental rights, which are essentials for man to lead a dignified life. Human rights include that should be enjoyed by every individual irrespective of class, gender, age, caste, religion, language, creed, status and beliefs. Human rights include right to life, right to adequate food, right to shelter, right to clothes, right to population free air, right to noise free surrounding, right to have safe drinking water, right to have safe drinking water, right to vote, right to participate in all social, economic and political activities, right to embrace and religion, right to speak and so on.
