Indian Kaleidoscope : Essays on Contemporary Issues
India lives on a day to day and crisis to crisis, and when that is not enough our cricket team does enough to take us high or low, these days mostly low. The long forgotten people of the country are left forgotten. My columns over the years have found a steady and even stuborn bunch of readers. It is due to their persistence that this second volume of columns and essays is being published. The first one, India\'s World: Essays on Foreign Policy and Security Issues restricted itself to just that. This volume is about contemporary domestic issues that have been bunched together on affinity of content. Some of the characters who feature in them are now dead, others have lapsed into their individual fugues, but many still hold centre stage. They are still good for a few lashes.
