"The present publication is based on the three day National Seminar held at IIIT, Allahabad on "IPR and Broadcasting Rights". The book contains thoughts of eminent personalities and professors in the field of IPR mainly related to broadcasting rights. The main objectives of this publication are to increase general awareness in these areas.

Several different broadcasting rights have been discussed in this book. Broadcasting rights are becoming complex day by day and hence it is a nice update piece of work on these issues. The readers may get an opportunity to clear their doubts on IPR and broadcasting rights through this contribution.

Articles included in this work compare the broadcasting rights within and outside India and how India should modify its polices regarding the broadcasting rights. The book has valuable and important contributions by eminent academicians and professionals presented during the seminar. Contributions included discussions on ephemeral rights, related IPR to the broadcasting, WIPO treaty, protections of rights of broadcast organizations etc. The book also highlights current complications of broadcasting rights and their possible solutions.

Different security measures such as for wider distribution of copyrighted works or for prevention of backdoor intrusion in wireless networks have also been discussed in this title. The problems along with their solutions have been presented to add completeness to the readers." (jacket)
