All India rivers interlinking is a large scale civil engineering project that aims to join majority of India rivers and proposed to reduce the persistent water shortage in parts of India. Though critics oppose the project yet it is beneficial to India seeing its large dependence of agriculture on monsoon and gradual reduction of agriculture in GDP. Individual Indian major rivers along with its tributaries have been discussed in detail in the book to have an idea about its source, flow and ecology.
