"Labour and human resources are integral part of the economic development and commercial progress of our country.
Labour is cheaply available in our country but quality is very poor. But this situation is entirely differed in now-a-days because of the globalization our labours and human resources in our India is forced to follow latest and sophisticated technology to increase not only production but also improve the quality and standards. This book tries to find out the various methods followed in Indian context to improve methods and means of production.
The Inter-State migration and International level migration of highly skilled, semi-skilled and unskilled labour is another area of concern. Their rights and protection is often neglected and they are subjected to various kinds of harassment, rough treatment and other discriminations. The plight of labour in unorganised informal sector is very miserable. They are unorganised, labour laws do not apply on them and effectively protect them, and they are left at the mercy of their employers who have exploitative tendencies. The NGOs and government can do very little for their help and well-being." (jacket)
