This book has been written due to our long association with the subject and the medicinal plants extending over a long time and according to the new researches in all Indian Universities and other countries of the world. The book gives a ready reference source in the alphabetic sequence the generic names of the plants found in India and all over the world contains technical, English, Hindi and other local names called in different languages of India as well as the world of more and more different kinds of plants eg. Algae, Fungi, Lichen, Bryophytes, Pteridophytes, Gymnosperms and Angiosperms growing on the planet earth. Approximately 7000 species, 4000 genera belonging to 400 families are listed in this book. Every possible effort has been made to give the latest nomenclature for every genus and species found in all over the world together with this common synonyms.
