This book attempts to provide a significant and systematic study of the history of Murshidabad Nawabs in the light of their contributions towards architectures, paintings, art, culture and literatures. Most of the architectures, paintings and art highlight their utmost interest. The book provides a clear picture of the administrations of the Nawabs in particular and the activities of socio-cultural aspects of Bengal in general. It also indicates explicitly the aesthetic beauty of the architectures, paintings and art that were produced during the periods and highlights its significance and importance as far as Persian art and Cultures are concerned. The book also deals with contributions of Nawabs of Bengal right from Murshid Quli Khan to Syed Waris Ali Mirza chronologically. In addition to this, historical monuments which are still preserved in the area are discussed.
Nawabs of Murshidabad form an integral part of the Persian culture in the Indian society.
