Mystic Poetry of Bangladesh
The earliest Bengali poetry Caryagiti written more than a thousand years ago are best described as spiritual poetry using mystical language and imagery. The poems are a part of the cultural and religious heritage of Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Bhutan and Tibet. The author has matched the poems with contemporary terra-cotta tiles found in north Bangladesh. (jacket)
