The present book National Development Council and Indian Federal System is a product of an enquiry and analysis of the federal institution i.e. National Development Council and the role it has played in Indian Federal Process since its inception in 1952, as an extra constitutional growth. The book has peeped into the various dimensions of the Indian federal system vis-a-vis its relation with various states. It has analysed the role of NDC in mitigating regional imbalance in the India federal system and to what extent it has succeeded. The book has mainly dealt with planning process in India and the role of NDC in preparing the plan.
