A large volume of scientific literature has been generated on Parthenium hazardous effects and management. But, this is not readily available as it is widely scattered. In such a situation, access to appropriate and relevant literature by the researchers becomes both critical and difficult. In view of this, an initiative is taken to compile the results of Parthenium research across the country in the form of book. This book contains topics on distribution of the weed in World and India, different species of Parthenium, its botanical description, hazardous effects on human being, live stock and agriculture etc., and management using physical, mechanical, chemical and biological methods and its alternate uses.
