"The book seeks to explain, analyse and give interpretations of the precise nature of perception, as done by the Vedantins. Western philosophical theories have not been deliberated. Hence the title is \'Perceiving in Monism\'. Originally the project was approved by ICPR, New Delhi in the titled "The Epistemology of Perception : Advaita Vedanta Perspective" for a fellowship. According to Advaita, Sarvam Khalu Idam Brahma", if this is true then how can such distinction of pramana Caitanya, pramata and prameya Chaitanya be possible? What is about the Advaita theory of Knowledge? According to Advaitins, knowledge is real but the object we know is illusory. The author seeks to bring out, analyse nature, definition-classification, causal model of perception strictly in conformity with the text \'Vedanta Paribhasa\' which throws a flood of light on the different ways of knowing."
