The book contains speeches of Indian dignitaries and selected papers of experts from India and abroad presented during two conferences held in March and October 2012 at CRRID, Chandigarh. The papers in this volume provide a clue of interaction and cooperation between countries of South and Central Asia from Indian bilateral, and regional perspective. The book provides comprehensive coverage on diverse socio-political and socio-economic problems concerning the region. It highlights road blocks emanating from global, regional and domestic situations. Many locations for connectivity between South and Central Asia are indicated. Based on experience of diplomacy, field work and subject specific studies both advantages and limitations have been demarcated by the contributors in the way of cooperative development, peace and security in the south and Central Asia.
