Pictorial Flora of Almora and Bageshwar Districts, Uttarakhand (Vol. I)
Now-a-days, owing to the spread of education, the Himalayan people have become more conscious about their surrounding biodiversity as they depend directly or indirectly upon it (biodiversity) for their survival. Hence, a large inquisitive mass is interested in conducting researches, to learn about the plants and their usefulness, through these developments. The Kumaun region is very rich in biodiversity due to complex topography and variety of climate types. Plant exploration was, therefore, undertaken in the study area, to collect plants along with their photographs, to develop this pictorial flora of the Angio spermic plants existing there.
