So far, most botanical publications describing the flora of Sikkim are of a rather technical nature and not suited for amateur naturalists. The authors, based on exploring Sikkim for over 13 years, have compiled a selection of photographs of wildflowers in the area, aimed at students, teachers, and amateur naturalists. This book documents 376 species, including common and high-altitude plants, and provides their scientific name, common name, probable distribution, habitat, uses, and IUCN status.
