Agricultural lands is very much degraded due to over exploitation of the natural resources. It is commonly observed in rural areas. The sustainable improvement in farming system is possible by halting further degradation of natural recourse base and maintaining soil health through alternative agricultural practices. There is need of several experiments in rural re-construction like human economic, science and technology, resource and environment and political dimensions.

The present book "Plant Science for Sustainable Agriculture and Rural Development" incorporates 39 critical reviews and research articles on sustainable agricultural development by renowned scientists and researchers throughout India. Chapters covering holistic information on plant disease management, VAM technology, biopesticides, biocontrol agents, plant improvement strategies ecosystem services interaction of microorganism floras mutagenic treatments, microorganisms floras mutagenic treatments, micropropogation techniques aerobiology etc. This book will be useful to all students and researchers in Botany, agriculture, biotechnology, mycology and plant pathology.
