Practical manual of water analysis contains ten different chapters spreading over 211 pages in all. Manual deals with such categories with water like irrigation water (tube well and canal/stream), drinking water and wastewater. Irrigation water analysis chapter deals with seventeen different analysis procedures laid down for each constituent. Wastewater analysis chapter contains six different analysis procedures, nutrient analysis chapter contains nine procedures and heavy metal analysis chapter deals with ten analysis procedures. Pesticide analysis has been given separate chapter. A separate chapter has also been earmarked in the manual for instrumentation. Sewage treatment plant chapter has also been included in the manual along with biogas plant as per the requirement of the students of environmental sciences. Two annexure have also been appended at the end for reference.
