The present text book has been specially written keeping in view the biology, ecology and control besides economic importance of weeds present in hill eco-systems. An understanding of the biology and identification of different weed flora helps in better control with less expenses.
The various chapters of this have been scrutinized by different scientists of Tamil Nadu agricultural University and ICAR institutes.
There are chapters dealing with ecology biology of weeds and their control which provide classification propagation dispersal and useful information on crop weed competition and methods of control.
