"The contribution of this book deals with the emerging global challenges, prospects and problems in teacher education. It focuses on the teacher educators\' empowerment, teacher mentoring as professional development, and the role of IASEs in strengthening teacher education. The issues and concerns related to competency Based Commitment Oriented (CBCO), need for teacher education programmes at higher secondary level (Plus two stage) and the status of teacher education at cross-roads are offered.
