The book consists of 12 theory and design chapters and one chapter on RCC drawings and Bar Bending Schedule. Each chapter starts with theoretical background of the topic under discussion before proceeding on the step by step design.

The main topics covered are concept of Limit State method of Design, Design of simply supported and Cantilever Beams, Designs of Tee and L Beam, one way and two way slabs, Axially Loaded Columns, Prestressed Concrete has also been introduced in chapter 12. Each chapter has got exercise for students to check their level of proficiency in the subject.
