"Magazines may be weekly, biweekly, fortnightly, monthly or quarterly and annually. Magazines have a longer life than newspapers and magazines are easier to be stored. Magazines serve a higher purpose in pro-founding a particular ideology, a point of view or particular philosophy. Magazines can provide well considered articles, stories, or even digests of news and views.
Magazines are particularistics, as are film magazines, sports magazines, children\'s magazines, political magazines, and business magazines, besides magazines being brought out by governments of states and the centre.
Magazines thus play a great role in the profession of journalism." (jacket)
