From the preface: "The present work, Sayana\'s Methodology in Interpreting the Rgveda, is mainly based on my thesis for which Ph.D. Degree was awarded by Jadavpur University. Some additions and alterations have been made to keep pace with the advancement of research in the Vedic field. This project on the study of Sayana\'s methodology is, perhaps for the first time, a systematic analysis of Sayana\'s commentary on the Rgveda."
