This short monograph merely records a simple form of weft-ikat textiles worn exclusively by one tribal group, the Chodhri, of the areas of Mandvi, Vyara, Valod etc. in Surat District.
This paper has been printed in a German version in TRIBUS, 1970. The text has been revised and then translated into English.
