Industrial jurisprudence was not in a much developed from before the commencement of the constitution of India. Before the independence, the paramount concern of the government was to ameliorate the condition of the factory workers. It was after the commencement of the constitution that the paramount concern of the government shifted towards the social justice for the labourers, who constituted the bulk of the population.
